Minelab Equinox 900 Recovery Speed Explained

The Minelab Equinox 900 and Equinox 700 features recovery speed settings that allow users to adjust how quickly the detector responds to multiple targets in close proximity. Recovery speed refers to the detector's ability to process and distinguish between different targets that are close together, or detecting deep.

In the Equinox series, including the 900, recovery speed settings range from 1 to 8, or on the Equinox 700 there are 3 adjustable settings for the recovery speed, which equates to (1 would be similar to 2 on the 900 and 3 would be equivilant to 6 on the equinox 900) with higher numbers indicating faster recovery speeds. Here's a general overview of recovery speed settings:

Lower Recovery Speed (e.g., setting 1 or 2 or 1 on the Equinox 700) Slower recovery speed is suitable for areas with a lower target density or where targets are DEEPER. This setting may help in separating individual targets at depth but might miss targets that are very close together.

Higher Recovery Speed (e.g.a setting 8 on the Equinox 900 and 3 on the Equinox 700)
Faster recovery speeds are beneficial in areas with lots targets or for quickly detecting multiple targets close to each other. It enhances the detector's ability to respond to different targets in quick succession.

Adjusting the recovery speed allows users to fine-tune the detector's performance based on the specific conditions of the search area. A slower recovery speed might be preferable in areas with less abundant targets, while a faster recovery speed could be more effective in trashy areas or when trying to cover ground quickly.
Again using a smaller search coil in high trash areas or a large coil could be used for punching deep in an area where targets are at depth could be more benificial.

Experimenting with different recovery speed settings in various environments can help users optimize the Equinox 900's performance to find targets efficiently while minimizing signal overlap and interference from nearby objects.
