Minelab Vanquish 60 metal detector

The New Minelab Vanquish 560: A New Era for Entry-Level Power
Minelab has officially unveiled the Vanquish 60 series, a powerful revamp to the highly successful Vanquish range. With useful upgrades and refinements, the 560 is poised to redefine what entry-level and mid-range detectorists can expect from their detectors along with the Minelab Multi IQ technology.

The 560 is part of the Minelab '60-Series' which will eventually replace the '40-series'. This means the Vanquish, 340, 440 and 540, will now be replaced by the Vanquish 360, Vanquish 460, and Vanquish 560.
If you've been metal detecting for a while or still looking to buy your first detector, you’ll likely have come across the Vanquish range. With the Vanquish 340, 440, and the Vanquish 540 and Vanquish 540 Pro Pack standing tall at the top of the range. The Vanquish 540 gained a reputation for being a reliable, high-performance machine at a very accessible price point.
The Vanquish 560, however, takes that pedigree and moves it forward with features often reserved for detectors much higher up the price range.
You could liken the Vanquish range to automatic cars, perfect for someone who wants to do the job in a simple manner. That’s why they are so great for beginners in the metal detecting hobby.
The new vanquish 60 range keeps this simplicity, but with some really nice tweaks. Vanquish is still the perfect place for many to begin their metal detecting journey.
The Vanquish 560 detector is also aimed at those detectorists who are stepping up from beginner machines, the people who have fallen in love with the hobby and are looking for something tougher, smarter, and more capable. It’s also ideal for those who detect frequently and want more control without jumping to a more expensive model.
What’s New in the Vanquish 560?
The 560 builds on the original Vanquish concept by incorporating smarter tech, better usability, and crucially fully waterproof to 5 metres. That alone opens up new ground (and water!) for many users. Add in improved discrimination, better target ID range, a torch and vibration function, and even compatibility with Minelab Equinox coils (EQX), and you’ve got a detector that punches way above its weight.

Search modes are now in-line with modes on more sophisticated machines such as X-TERRA and Equinox ranges, and target Id’s are also expanded for a more intricate description of targets.

A Detector That Evolves With You
One of the standout features of the minelab Vanquish 60 detectors is its coil compatibility with Equinox and Coiltek coils.

This is a first for the Vanquish line, and it opens up a world of flexibility. Detectorists can now experiment with different coil sizes and shapes depending on their site and targets—all without upgrading to a new detector. That means greater depth, better separation, or even better handling in iron-rich fields and beaches, just by swapping a coil. It won’t suit everyone, but some people will get more variation and options without having to spend on a more expensive machine. And, if you have one of the Vanquish 60 detectors, you can buy some coils, and then later upgrade to XTERRA or Equinox detector then you already have some accessories.

A Word from Detexpert Paul Cee
“It’s great to see the Minelab Vanquish range updated with many of the features seen in more advanced Minelab detectors. The target ID range has been expanded and the discrimination also improved. As an avid beach detectorist I’m also really excited that the range is now fully waterproof. This will open more areas for detecting for a lot of users.
